Through the NTPA, you can reach the market known as RURAL LIFESTYLE:
Rural America’s Attendees:
Over the course of nearly 150 sessions of NTPA Grand National, Regional National and Member State Events, over one million fans were reached directly. Over 80% of these events happen at county fairs across the eastern half of the United States. Typical event attendance is 3,000 to 5,000 per session, while some events seat over 10,000 per session. One session is a single show. An event may have up to five sessions over a weekend with up to two sessions per day.
Rural America’s TV Viewers:
Our television series, which airs three times weekly on the RFD-TV network, is accessible to over 46 million homes and growing via cable providers, Dish Network (channel 231), and DirecTV (channel 345). A Successful Farming Market Research Panel found that 41.5% of all farmers watch RFD-TV. In another independent survey, the National Association of Farm Broadcasters and John Deere research found that 60% of Rural America has either Dish or DirecTV. Satellite or the “mini dish” means of televised networks is the fastest growing means of viewership, with an estimated 12% growth in just the past 12 months according to Nielsen Research. For the year 2015, Nielsen Research found on average 108,400 persons each week aged 18 or over are watching NTPA Championship Pulling presented by Case IH, which equates to an annual, non-unique viewership of 5.6 million.
Back in our 22nd year, the Budweiser Dairyland Nationals became the first—and remains the only—tractor pull to be broadcast live on network television. TNN cameras showed the nation a session’s worth of awesome horsepower in 1997 and returned for more in 1998.
But these days, thanks to the internet, you can watch every thrill-packed minute of the Tomah pull, from anywhere on the globe, live or on-demand at NTPA.tv, the National Tractor Pullers Association’s streaming service. The screen of your smart TV, PC, or mobile device will ignite with images from multiple cameras and overlays produced from the NTPA mobile scoreboard while you’re kept informed and entertained by our announcing crew in between the earthshaking passes. You can even view performances from the past several years! Though NTPA.tv can’t bring you the wafting scents of diesel smoke and cheese curds, it’s the next best thing to being here.
Competition at the Budweiser Dairyland Nationals is also featured annually in multiple episodes of the National Tractor Pullers Association’s long-running television series, “NTPA Championship Pulling.” The show appears in three time slots weekly on RFD-TV, which may be viewed in over 50 million American homes on DirecTV (channel 345), Dish Network (231), and AT&T (568) as well as on many cable systems. The program’s reach extends further across the internet on NTPA.tv, where weekly episodes appear on demand.
